Good Morning, Good Morning and welcome to the 2024 NAP Leadership Conference!
The conference will kick-off Friday morning with a welcome message and introductions from your conference coordinators, Cherise Story, RP, and Christina Emmert, PRP. The welcome will be followed by a message from NAP President, Alison Wallis, PRP.

Alison Wallis, JD, PRP,
CP-T became a Professional Registered Parliamentarian in
2005. She holds a law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans.
She was a prosecutor and appellate attorney for many years. She now handles
post-conviction matters for the judges of Jefferson Parish.
Alison is president of the
National Association of Parliamentarians. She was President of the
Louisiana Association of Parliamentarians and a two-term District Six Director.
Alison serves as a trustee for NAPEF and for the Dahms Memorial
Foundation. Alison served three terms as president of the American Institute of
Parliamentarians and is a Certified Parliamentarian-Teacher.
Alison loves to show how parliamentary procedure can improve real life
meetings and how parliamentarians can make their specialized knowledge
practical.
| J. Cherise Story is a member of NAP and attained the credential of Registered Parliamentarian in 2021. She is currently the 2nd Vice President of the Texas State Association of Parliamentarians and was appointed coordinator of the NAP Leadership Conference for 2024 and 2025. Cherise serves as parliamentarian for a leading not-for-profit organization. As a former president and presiding officer at monthly meetings of a 1,000-plus member service organization, she appreciates the value of parliamentary procedure in conducting effective meetings. Cherise has presented parliamentary procedure workshops for new member exam preparation, NAP units, state association conferences, and other not-for-profit organizations, and served as a parliamentary procedures competition judge. She also conducted various managerial training programs throughout a 40-year corporate career in financial services, audit, and corporate trust administration. Cherise is a CPA and has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. |
